ResuméRip might be friendliest Chesapeake you've ever met.
Sired by the mighty Field Champion Topsail's Good Time Buddy, Rip came to train with us in the summer of 2022. He is truly the Chesapeake we all dream of owning. High drive, handsome & trainable, he is undoubtedly the finest Chesapeake I've ever personally worked with. He is now standing at stud to approved females. SkillsRip is the kind of dog that converts lab people to Chessie people.
Drive/Desire: Visibly excited to go to work and do his job each and every day. Rip is a dog who loves to retrieve flat out. His enthusiasm draws comments from all in the gallery as to how much fun it is to watch a Chesapeake work who loves his job so much. Personality: Rip is a lover. A big teddy bear. He has a big personality - but is really just a sweetheart. Raised in a house with children & trained in a kennel where a 3 year old girl regularly enters his kennel to lay on his bed with him. He is friendly and loves people. Build: Rip has the classic big, powerful, masculine physic we often associate with the Chesapeake breed. He posses the classic physical toughness that is sought after among Chessie lovers. A quick glance at his pedigree & it's easy to see why with multiple show ring Champions in his linage. Marking: Rip's quality, field bred, side of his pedigree truly shines through in his marking skills. A solid marker from day one, skills no doubt inherited from his Field Champion father & the many Master Hunters & QAA dogs in his pedigree. Handling: Rip loves to please his handler & runs his blinds with a sense of urgency. Keen on being a team player, Rip thrives on communication and feedback from his handler. His biddability makes him a great partner when team work is what's required to make a retrieve. Hunting: Quiet & patient in the blind. Not a whinner. Happy to hang out and wait on birds with you. Loves a pet while you're waiting. He will however eyeball your snacks if the action is slow. |
