You don’t hunt in the same place every day – your dog can’t learn in the same place every day.
Our home place is an acreage just west of Lincoln, NE. It’s perfect for training retrievers the basics of retrieving marks and running blind retrieves (handling). Our home pond is about 4 acres in size and only a few hundred yards from the kennel making it easy for frequent trips to the pond to swim and train young dogs on basic water retrieves.
However, to truly advance your dog and prepare them to hunt all over the country in any type of terrain or hunting setup – it is necessary to train off site regularly.
At least three times a week, dogs load on to the truck & head out to train “off campus”. We train on numerous private grounds throughout the county. Each property we train on has unique features to it which teach your dog fundamental concepts, but more over – teach your dog to apply their trade in new environments. In this way, we are able to produce for you a dog capable of handling any new hunting environment/scenario you might put them in & they’re able to perform for you at a high level.
On The Road
Your dog’s comfort & safety is our top priority while traveling. Dog’s ride in a commercial grade dog box, secured directly to the truck for safety. Built from stainless steel to reflect the heat of the sun, the box is insulated & equipped with two exhaust fans to pull hot air from the box and bring in cool air from the outside. Each dog’s hole is furnished with a WetMutt waterproof, shock absorbing kennel mat. Your dog will be as comfortable & safe on the road as they would in our kennel or on your couch.
